How It Started
Cater To You (CTY) was founded more than 35 years ago by Anthony and Kathryn Trentacosti, with the mission of feeding school children simply prepared, scratch-cooked meals made with fresh, seasonal ingredients from local producers and growers.
Prior to founding CTY, Anthony worked as the Chef at St. Bernard’s school. He revolutionized its dining program by eliminating prepackaged items and implementing scratch cooking. By keeping meals simple and nutritious all guests were wholly nourished.
As part of the independent school community, Anthony soon made connections with surrounding schools. They often hired his catering company, Catering By Anthony, for school events. Through catering, Anthony formed relationships with key stakeholders of independent schools. In 1999, St. Bernard’s outsourced their food service program to CTY, and we are proud to say St. Bernard's is still our client today.
How It's Going
CTY has grown to 26 independent school accounts with more than 200 team members. We currently prepare more than 15,000 meals daily for students ranging from preschool age to high school seniors.
In 2023, after 35+ years of being a leader in the independent school dining community, CTY joined forces with Elior North America, the parent company for a distinct collection of hospitality companies, all united by a passion for excellence in food, service, and meaningful partnerships.
Our ethos of scratch cooking using the finest products is steadfast, and our commitment is always to provide traceable, local, and sustainable meals with a focus on seasonality; that hasn't changed. Now, Anthony and Kathryn’s daughter, Giuliette serves as President, ensuring CTY’s level of authenticity and integrity are wholehearted.
